You know I’m born to lose
And gambling’s for fools
But that’s the way I like it, baby
I don’t wanna live forever
And don’t forget the joker

๐ŸŽถ Motรถrhead - Ace of Spades

And what it all comes down to
Is that everything’s gonna be fine, fine, fine

‘Cause I’ve got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five

Chillin’

Nice short trip to Lake Constance with my family and the โ€žIn-lawsโ€œ. Sometimes you donโ€™t have to go really far to get to really pretty places.

I ordered a couple of Field Notes today. While that site was open I had three kernel panics within a couple of minutes. Not sure what happened, if the site caused Safari to go nuts, but I think my Mac might be a little wonky ๐Ÿ˜‰

My family is in the market for 2 iPad Pro, an iMac and a MacBook. Sorry… vacation will be cancelled until 2022 to cover the costs.

Will I have to wait until spring to get a new iPad now? (Which will probably cost about 2000โ‚ฌ given their pricing strategy)

A phone that starts at 1250โ‚ฌ up to 1650โ‚ฌ. I know itโ€™s more than just a simple phone, but stillโ€ฆ This is ridiculous.

Well, this event was disappointing. Got my hopes up way too high once more.

As speculations about the iPhone X (S) Max Turbo name rise ahead of the event today, Iโ€™m going all in and predict (or better demand!?) that the new Macbooks will be called Powerbook again, because it always was the better name anyway ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m tired lately of all the tech stuff and news and gibberish about anything that’s going on in this area. I have to admit that I’m excited about the Apple event today. First time in a while for me…

Probably would have been a good idea to look into this before we went there ๐Ÿ™ƒ But good to know that we experienced the important stuff ๐Ÿ˜‰

We really had a great time in Sevilla! Such a lovely town. Everything in walking distance, thereโ€™s absolutely amazing food, itโ€™s really chilled out… a little (way) too hot for me ๐Ÿ˜‰ but the lifestyle there is a kind of itโ€™s own.

I loved the cute art on lots of the garage doors and shop fronts in Sevilla!

When you buy half a liter of bottled water in a spanish supermarket for 17ct (1,60โ‚ฌ at the airport) and have to pay 3,50โ‚ฌ at a german airport or 2โ‚ฌ in a supermarket here, you start wondering who in the supply chain gets the most out of this ripoff.

I love how life in this country is on a completely different schedule. Restaurants open at 8 or 9 pm and even the playgrounds are crowded at 10pm. If you go to a playground with your kids that late in Germany, somebody would call the police ๐Ÿ˜‰

After a couple of days in Romania ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด (I loved that trip!) itโ€™s now Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ for the week. Itโ€™s kind of warm around here (38C/100F). Who knew! ๐Ÿ˜‰ There will probably be a lot of siesta during the day but we might check out some Flamenco ๐Ÿ’ƒ

How times are changing… thirty years ago, people were randomly shot to death by a dictatorship at this place. Today everyone is celebrating and having fun together.

Preparing for an unusual trip to Romania ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด The planning of this years vacation got a little out of whack ๐Ÿ™ƒ ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด ๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ›ฌ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ›ฌ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Costal Weather

It might be a bit too cold for a summer vacation, given the heat wave a couple of weeks ago… but I love the coastal weather!

One Day At The Beach

Yesterday was the only day we could really spend at the beach because of the low temperatures and heavy winds. Heading home again tomorrow already.

Spending a couple of days in the Netherlands ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ again with friends. Nice windy evening today!

I violated rule #1: Never ever google the diagnosis of a doctor.

Day one of almost exclusively using an iPad: I think I got everything set up. Itโ€˜s fine for most of the stuff I do, but there are things I just cannot imagine will work for me, besides the need for Xcode. Still, simple things like copying something from A to B are really annoying

Since my Mac is obsolete soon and Iโ€˜m not willing to spend a ridicoulous amount of money on a Mac I donโ€˜t want, I thought I check out the iPad-life again. Never stuck with me in the pastโ€ฆ it feels too cumbersome to do most of the things, but lets see how it turns out this time.
